If you own or maintain a web site (a single one or many) at the popular hosting provider Hetzner, then Hetzner Monitor (Hetzmon) for iOS will make control over availability of your services easier and faster.

Hetzner System Monitor has an option for constant monitoring of your services, and in case of a failure it sends an email notification to the address specified in your settings. But what will happen when you do not have access to a computer, you are outdoors, in a car? Your business reputation can suffer a significant loss because of a one hour downtime of your service. Besides, it is difficult to figure out the actual situation with your site out of the long list of notifications about status changes.

Hetzmon is able to solve all of these problems. Install this application on your Apple device. As soon as it activates, a technical email address is generated. Enter this email address in the Hetzner System Monitor as a destination for all monitoring notifications. Then put your iPhone to a pocket, and Hetzmon goes on duty.

Once Hetzner sends a notification about a failure of your service, Hetzmon immediately displays push notification on the screen of your iPhone, accompanied with a sound and vibration. Upon a click on this notification, the main Hetzmon page opens. Your servers are listed on it. First, servers with problems are displayed, marked with a red round sign at the right. Servers without problems are marked with a green sign. When you click a sign with a plus at the left, the list of services (which run on the server) opens. In a similar way, failed services are displayed at the top with a red sign. All items are supplemented with error messages. The lists are updated dynamically. If a problem is solved before you open Hetzmon, then the corresponding service will be displayed already “green”, and you do not have to waste time detecting a non-existing failure.

IMPORTANT!
Hetzmon developers give no warranty on absolute accuracy of statuses displayed by the application, as the control of reliability and delivery speed of all notifications is out of their responsibility. The delivery is performed by the services of Hetzner, Apple, and mail systems. The developers take no responsibility for non-availability of your servers and services. They recommend using Hetzmon together with other monitoring tools of the hosting provider.

FAQ
- Lists of my servers & services are not displayed! Why?
- Congratulations, your systems do not experience a single failure. After the moment Hetzmon is activated and before the first Hetzner notifications are received, only the generated email address is shown on the main Hetzmon page. To switch to a server list, pull the page down.

- The lists of my servers (services) are incomplete, why?
- Hetzmon knows exclusively about services and servers that experience failures. If some server (or service) does not face a problem, it will not be listed.

- I changed my Apple device (or upgraded). How can I port Hetzmon to a new device?
- 1. Set up Hetzmon on a new device.
2. Activate it, and Hetzmon will generate a new technical email address.
3. Specify this email in the Hetzner System Monitor settings instead of the old one.
4. Uninstall Hetzmon from the old device.
